I'm proud to announce the launch (finally!) of my new website, thanks to LiveBooksEDU. Of course this is the 1.0 version, so much more to come soon.

a place to capture moments of photo projects I'm working on and bits of everyday life mixed in.

Anyone that knows me, knows my love of chairs (and shoes... but I digress). I have quite a few chairs around my home.
Today while setting up the lights in the CoD studio, saw this lovely red chair that I hadn't seen there before. Perfect timing too, as today I have a model coming in for a vintage 50's styles shoot.
I named this lovely chair "Red." Isn't she lovely?
My son and I tooke the train downtown Chicago for July 4th weekend. First went to Millennium Park to see the Cloud Gate "The Bean" sculpture and video/water installation then over to Grant Park for the "Taste of Chicago."
This year has free performances from Stevie Wonder, Joss Stone, and others. The Taste of Chicago happens ach year for a week - several vendors, restaurants, chefs setup along the street and you can buy lots and lots of food (and beer).
Yummy!
Chicagoland Strobist Flickr group had their first meetup today (3/1/2008) at the Microsoft building in Downers Grove, IL, and I was so glad to be able to attend! I learned so freakin' much and everyone was so great about sharing their toys.
The creative energy was really bouncing - literally!
And now I know I need some Pocket Wizards... and really really want that Alien Bee Ringflash...
Bought a Holga 120N as a birthday present to myself last week. Yeah me!
This is literally the VERY first photo I took (when loaded the film wound past the " 1 " before I realized it). Had it set on mountains, cloudy, and just clicked out my car window as I drove by. I'm really surprised it wasn't just a big blur.
Looks like I need to clean the dust out of my scanner, but it was snowing that day so I think the dust spots kinda give it that effect.
Opened my door during a brief moment of sunlight earlier today, and can see how much it snowed.
Scary thing is the front is usually where the snow drifts away from. I'm scared to see how much has built up in the back.
Took this while stopped at a light. I live 12 miles from work and it took me almost 2 hours. Sigh.
